In layman’s terms a chimney liner is a metal tube that seals both the top and bottom of the chimney so that flue gasses pass up through the liner only. Firstly this allows a stove to be installed on a chimney that has developed a leak and secondly, it will improve the performance of your flue as the air gap between the masonry and the liner acts as an insulator.
A warmer chimney is more efficient. At The Stovesite we can supply liner in various lengths, diameters and grades, as well as all associated installation parts.
