Multi Fuel Stoves

Energy efficient and clean burning, a stove is becoming an increasingly popular alternative for heating the home. Multi fuel refers to a stoves capability to burn both wood and solid fuel. A grate for the fire to burn on and a removable ash pan are generally what separate a multifuel stove from a dedicated wood burner.

Stoves are available in various sizes and outputs. A central heating stove, a clip in boiler or even a flue boiler can help heat your radiators and turn your stove into a heating solution for the whole house. Various options such as single or double door, black or coloured, traditional or contemporary, inset or freestanding, allow you to find a stove to suit both your taste and your home.

Choosing a multi fuel stove instead of a wood burning only stove gives you the flexibility of being able to burn the fuel that is most readily available to you at any time. Smokeless fuel can offer longer burning times but logs can offer the flames that many people associate having with a stove. Burning a mixture of the two together can give you the best of both, combining mesmerising flames you get from burning wood with the smokeless fuel helping to keep the fire going for longer.

The Stove Site has a large range of multi fuel stoves for you to browse from leading manufacturers including Stovax, Hunter, Charnwood and Villager.
