A moisture meter will test your logs for their moisture content so you know if they are ready to be used as fuel or if they need to be seasoned for longer. Full description
Ideally logs are recommended to have a low moisture content of less than 18%. This moisture meter allows you to check that your wood is sufficiently dry to burn at maximum efficiency.
Always burning dry wood in your appliance will achieve the best results, burning wet wood will provide less heat, cause your stove to burn inefficiently, blacken the glass and creates chimney tar which could potentially lead to a chimney fire.
