Complete with a heat deflector every inch of the 18" cooking area can be used for direct or in-direct cooking methods. The Divide and Conquer grate system allows you to cook on different levels and different surfaces at once.The ability to create different heat zones means you can both sear a steak and grill the vegetables at the same time.
The main advantage of the Kamado Joe is the ceramic body and its ability to insulate. The insulated body circulates the heat and keeps it at a constant temperature resulting in more moisture inside the meat. This versatile grill allows you to cook at high temperatures or very low temperatures for a considerably longer period of time than a standard grill.
